Logistics Finance Analyst

Description

Owns and creates weekly and monthly financial reporting for Supply Chain’s Distribution & Transportation Services (D&TS).  Assists with the month-end close process and development of the annual D&TS operating plan.  Prepares various ad hoc analyses and reports related to the financial performance and continuous improvement of D&TS, as well as additional Financial Planning & Analysis initiatives.  Also assists with loading and managing plan and D&TS analytics data.

1.    Produces weekly and monthly financial reporting packages for all levels of management including Executives and the Board.
2.    Assists in preparation of the annual D&TS operating expense plan.
3.    Assists with month-end financial close process for D&TS and researches and analyzes significant plan variances.
4.    Updates reporting and plan architecture as the D&TS network rapidly evolves.
5.    Identifies financial and operational opportunities and enhancements and makes recommendations to reduce D&TS expenses by challenging and improving existing workflows.
6.    Monitors D&TS Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and updates expense forecast information accordingly.
7.    Assists with researching specific D&TS transactions as needed.
8.    Completes special projects and analyses as needed.

Qualification

1.    Bachelor’s Degree in business administration, accounting or finance required.
2.    Two to four years of financial analysis, operations analysis, corporate accounting, and/or auditing experience required.
3.    Excellent attention to detail, verbal and written communication, and analytical skills required.
4.    Mindset to embrace ownership of role’s essential responsibilities and appreciate the opportunity to continuously improve this role as the D&TS network evolves preferred.
5.    Ability to operate a PC and experience using automated accounting systems required. SAP knowledge preferred.  
6.    Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment required.
7.    Strong knowledge of MS Office applications including proficiency with Excel, Word, and Power Point required.  Preferred experience includes MS Access, Alteryx, Power BI, Tableau, MicroStrategy, Oracle Hyperion Essbase/Smartview, SQL, Visual Basic, etc.
