Director, Talent Acquisition

Description

Plans, develops, and directs strategic recruiting and employment programs to support the Company’s current and future staffing needs. Leads a team of recruiters that support store and corporate headquarters positions.  Contributes to ongoing process improvement efforts to manage the volume of positions being filled. Ensures accurate reporting of hiring transaction metrics. Partners with leadership to identify opportunities to attract, proactively build, and maintain a quality talent pipeline and fill open positions by sourcing passive and active candidates.

1.    Plans, develops, and directs strategic recruiting and employment programs for several Corporate Headquarters departments as well as management positions within the field Store and Loss Prevention Operations teams.
2.    Anticipates future workforce needs by assessing external labor markets and developing the most effective and appropriate methods to recruit talent.  Builds and maintains relationships with external recruiters, schools, associations, and other agencies.  
3.    Oversees the administration of the relocation program, including policy revisions, relocation payments, and third-party relocations.
4.    Provides direction on recruiting and relocation budgets and costs and contributes to decisions about contracts with third party recruiting, internet recruiting, and relocation vendors.
5.    Develops and directs field recruiting policies, procedures and programs. Provides counsel to associates and managers on issues related to EEO, ADA, performance management, and disciplinary actions.
6.    Manages direct reports, including day-to-day activities, staffing, training, development, performance assessment, and disciplinary actions as needed.



Qualification

1.    Bachelors degree in Human Resource Management or related field required. Masters degree preferred.
2.    Minimum of seven years general Human Resource Management experience, including recruitment, relocation, and employee relations required. In a retail environment preferred.
3.    Extensive background in Human Resources policies and labor laws required.
4.    Excellent verbal and written communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills required.
5.    Previous management experience required.
